On Saturday, June 22, QB rapper Cormega organized an all expenses paid trip to Six Flags Great Adventures in New Jersey for two busloads (seating about 100 heads) of Queensbridge families, friends and business owners.
“I just wanted to do this to give back to the hood,” he explains. “A lot of rappers claim the projects but don’t do anything for the projects they represent. I did a lot of bad in the hood so it’s time to balance the scales with some good. I usually sponsor basketball tournaments for the kids, but I wanted to do something for the community as a whole that all ages could enjoy.”
Cormega’s album The True Meaning drops June 25, 2002.
“I just wanted everyone to come out and celebrate with me,” assures Mega. “I’m not on some industry shit and this is not some industry record release event. This is the realness, just me, my friends and QB.”
