Drake has fans in a tizzy after disclosing he wants that old thing back — well, “the old Drake,” to reemerge as he announces a new album in conjunction with his debut poetry collection.
To promote the book, Drizzy took out full-page advertisements in publications like the New York Post and Houston Chronicle, which featured a QR code navigating fans to a website with a statement highlighting the upcoming project.

“I made an album to go with the book,” the declaration reads. “They say they miss the old Drake girl don’t tempt me. FOR ALL THE DOGS.” However, no other details regarding the release — title or drop date — were disclosed.
Part of his message borrows lyrics from his 2011 track “Headlines.” The second single from his sophomore album Take Care hears him spit: “I be yellin’ out, ‘Money over everything,’ money on my mind/ Then she wanna ask when it got so empty/ Tell her I apologize, happened over time/ She says, ‘They miss the old Drake,’ girl, don’t tempt me/ ‘If they don’t get it, they’ll be over you/ That new shit that you got is overdue.“

On Friday (June 23), the Canadian superstar shared a photo of the book, Titles Ruin Everything/A Stream of Consciousness by Kenza Samir and Aubrey Graham, via Instagram while asking fans to rally in support.
“I don’t know if I have ever wanted people to buy or support something more in my life,” Drizzy captioned the post. “Our first book is available tmrw on @drakerelated and other select retailers.”
In addition to announcing that he’s working on another Scary Hours EP, Drake first teased the book during the inaugural episode of his SiriusXM radio show, Table For One.
“Shout-out to Kenza. Kenza, I love you. I want to send you some love,” he said during his radio-hosting debut last year. “Me and Kenza have a book coming out this year – we have a book coming out this year, a poetry book.”

Additional shows, including a stop in Drake’s hometown of Toronto, are set to be announced at a later date.
