Diddy and his attorneys are attempting to shut down one of the suits against the Bad Boy mogul — the one by producer Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones.
Jones sued Diddy back in February of this year, accusing him of sexual harassment as well as drugging and threatening the producer over the course of a year.

On Monday (August 26), Diddy’s legal team fired back with a motion to get the case dismissed. They backed up their case with a 33-page “memorandum of law” that puts forward their arguments. You can read it in its entirety here.
Sean Diddy Combs’ lawyer Erica Wolff of Sher Tremonte LLP issued a statement to go along with the memo.

“Mr. Jones’s lawsuit is pure fiction — a shameless attempt to create media hype and extract a quick settlement,” she said. “There was no RICO conspiracy and Mr. Jones was not threatened, groomed, assaulted, or trafficked. We look forward to proving – in a court of law – that all of Mr. Jones’s claims are made-up and must be dismissed.”
Diddy’s attempt to get the case thrown out does not address any of the alleged facts of the case, as the legal proceedings haven’t yet reached that stage.

Instead, it makes a series of technical arguments, saying that the suit is simply an “attempt to dress up a run of the mill commercial disagreement” — over money for Jones’s alleged work on Diddy’s project The Love Album: Off the Grid — “as a salacious RICO conspiracy.”
The memorandum also mentions comments Jones made while at 50 Cent’s Humor & Harmony Festival. The producer ran into Uncle Murda, and they made a short video where Jones said regarding his suit, “I’m from Chicago, we don’t play about our business.”

“Jones’ videotaped threats on social media are part of a calculated effort to promote his personal brand and profit from the exposure,” the filing reads.
In other Diddy legal news, a woman who sued him last month for sex trafficking recently filed a police report about her allegations.
According to TMZ, Adria English filed her police report with the Miami Beach PD earlier in August, detailing the allegations she’d listed in her lawsuit.
However, detectives have determined that not enough evidence was presented be able to investigate human trafficking or any other crime – but they did share the report with federal authorities who are investigating numerous other claims against the embattled mogul.
