Kanye West and Snoop Dogg were among the big names who showed up to support Charlie Wilson at the legendary singer’s Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony.
Wilson unveiled his star on Monday (January 29) on what was also his 71st birthday, with the Gap Band singer joined by a number of famous faces and past collaborators.

Wilson posted pictures of the ceremony on Instagram and wrote: “Today I celebrated my birthday receiving my star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Thank you to all of my friends and fans who came out to celebrate this special moment with me. Feeling truly blessed.”
Wilson was joined by West, Snoop, Tyler, The Creator, Babyface, Babyface, Ty Dolla $ign, Tank, Don Toliver and others for the special moment.
Babyface also gave a speech at the ceremony where he paid tribute to Wilson.
The singer and producer said: “I’m just so proud to be a part of your life. For you to even know me, to know my name and say anything to me period, I’m geeked about that. Please, I wanna say it again, give love to Charlie Wilson cause he deserves this.”

Snoop also posted a reel of highlights of Wilson’s most famous collaborations on Instagram, including the huge hit “Beautiful” which was with the Long Beach rapper and Pharrell Williams, plus “Bound 2” with Kanye and “Earfquake” with Tyler, The Creator.
Charlie Wilson first gained fame in the 1970s as one third of the Gap Band alongside his brothers Ronnie and Robert.

After going solo, he became best known for his collaborations with the likes of Kanye West, with whom he has made 11 songs, and Snoop, who he has collaborated with more than a dozen times.
Wilson has also made songs with Nas, UGK, Lil Kim, Boyz II Men and Stevie Wonder.
The Oklahoma native has previously said that he sometimes has to tell Kanye to “be quiet”.
In a past interview, Wilson discussed their working dynamic, commenting: “I’m not patting him on his back. When he does something wrong, I’m the first one to tell him that he’s wrong, sit down and be quiet.

“I don’t care if you don’t like it or not. I don’t embrace some of the things that he does, and some of the stuff he does, I do embrace, which is music. He’s good at that.”
He added: “Sometimes it gets a little out of hand, and sometimes he just says, ‘I’m gonna do this kind of music just to inspire people.’ Okay then say that.”
