Cardi B has joined the ranks of a number of people who believe a recent statement by Donald Trump pointed to a desire by the former president to become a dictator.

On Friday night (July 26), the Bronx rapper took to X (formerly Twitter) to repost a video of Trump addressing the crowd at the Turning Point Action’s Believers Summit in West Palm Beach, Florida earlier that day.

During the speech, the Republican presidential nominee told the audience of Christian voters that, if he was re-elected, they “won’t have to vote anymore,” as he would “fix” a number of issues of particular interest to them.

“Whistle blowing a dictatorship?,” she captioned the quote tweet, along with an eyebrow-raised emoji.

Cardi B has never been one to bite her tongue when it comes to her political views.

Earlier this month, she addressed her past comments about Kamala Harris after the current vice president announced her candidacy to replace Joe Biden as the Democratic nominee for this year’s election.

The “Bongos” rapper had previously been a vocal critic of Biden, as well as his decision to run again for president, and backed Harris to succeed him as the Democrat’s candidate to face off against Donald Trump.

Reacting to the news that Biden had pulled out of the race and endorsed Harris to be his successor, Cardi wrote on X on Sunday (July 21): “AHAHAHAHA LETS GOOOOO I TOLD YALLL KAMALA WAS SUPPOSED TO BE THE 2024 candidate…..STOP FUCKIN PLAYIN WITH ME !!!!!!!”
