Blocboy JB has made a self-proclamation that only Eminem, Drake and J. Cole can sit in the same class as him from a lyrical perspective.

On Saturday (June 3), the rapper drew a line in the proverbial rap sand by making the confident declaration of his rap skills on Instagram Stories.

“I’m One Of The Best Rappers In The World Y’all Just Sleeping,” he wrote. “Bar 4 Bar only n-gga up der wit me is Eminem, Drake, J. Cole.”

The “Shoot” rapper doesn’t reserve his defense for his own art. He recently defended Memphis Grizzlies basketball star Ja Morant, who received his second suspension in just as many months for brandishing a gun on social media.

Taking to his Instagram Stories on May 14, the Memphis native adamantly excoriated the media and the basketball Powers That Be for jamming up the popular player.

According to CNN, Morant was officially suspended on May 15, after the offending video appeared on a friend’s Instagram.

Meanwhile, many rappers and fans have used Em, Drizzy and Cole World as examples to compare their favorite rapper to. Recently, NBA star Russell Westbrook said the late Nipsey Hussle was the best rapper of all time over  JAY-Z and Eminem.

Participating in a social media bracket game with his wife, Nina Westbrook, earlier this month, Russ narrowed down an Elite Eight list of legendary rappers, with Nipsey being the last MC standing.

The former NBA MVP gave Neighborhood Nip the nod over Slim Shady, Nas, Lil Wayne and eventually Hov on his way to crowning him the G.O.A.T.

A California native, Westbrook is sure to upset fans of East Coast Hip Hop as he also went with Dr. Dre over Biggie, Lil Wayne over 50 Cent and Ice Cube over Redman.

In addition, upon the release of his latest project Jackman, Jack Harlow claimed to be “the hardest white boy” to pick up a microphone since Eminem.

The mixtape included a new song called “They Don’t Love It,” where Harlow argues to be as lyrically talented as Slim Shady himself.

Ya boy’s strivin’ to be the most dominant ever/ The hardest white boy since the one who rapped about vomit and sweaters,” Harlow raps on the Hollywood Cole-produced joint. And hold the comments ’cause I promise you I’m honestly better than whoever came to your head right then/ They ain’t cut from the same thread like him/ They don’t study, doin’ work to get ahead like him/ They don’t toss and turn in the fuckin’ bed like him.”

The lyrics are in reference to Em’s diamond-certified classic “Lose Yourself,” where Marshall Mathers raps: “His palms are sweaty, knees weak, arms are heavy/ There’s vomit on his sweater already, mom’s spaghetti.
