Ten new blazers that range from album, to EPs then singles. Let’s get it flowin’. First off out of Reno, Nevada P-Dub drops his official album rightly titled “The Biggest Little City” Simply you would think that Nevada and gambling, not Rap Music, and surprise. 14 Tracks to work with and seven came up to my liking, here’s a couple: “Introducing Myself“, “To whom it may concern“, definitely video worthy and “The Legal Way“, “Something to prove” possibly the next singles to come. Hit up P-Dub let him know you need to how to own his joint, www.775music.com.
From the album to the EPs, California brings Insomniac’s Magazine music label, Insomniac Inc. California drops their limited edition of “Strategic Infiltration” featuring artist the likes of Jace, Knots, Shadon, Kaboom and Kool Keith. The 2 songs to look out for are, “Hip Hop 4 Ever” which delivers a barrage of first line intro from familiar hip hop songs to prove their point of saluting hip hop and “Move” which is a definite crowd pleaser, for more go to www.InsomniacMusic.com. Another sound EP comes courtesy of Philadelphia’s Arrakis Records. The artist Briz reminiscent of Buck Shot in flow. 4 cuts to this one and my call goes to the jazzamattaz like groove, filtered bass-line of “Blown Mind” and the sneaky piano track found on “Simplicity”. music lovers and Djs alike hit them at www.arrakisrecords.com.
On to singles (12″ Dj talk), come former Kemelions member Poe Pan (Poetic Pandemonium) has joined forces with Aj Woodson of Bigmouth Ent. and recording on Gattaca Project Recordings to release a double sided effort, the street appealing “One of a kind” the radio ready “Nikki 20/20” which also contains a bonus for the Djs “Fillet of Soul“. They have hit the streets with another record “How it Soundz” guaranteed to garner listening power for the anticipated album. This time with A.G., Ruck and newcomer Jimmy Grand holding the steel cone. The single is produced by another DND artist Curt Cazal of Q’n’C this one you have got to visit your local retailers for.

Better yet call the local station and request it. Yeah, yeah Tommy-Boy Records has delivered again after “Baby-Phat” by De-La, they have brought Tony Touch to the front, the track sounds like Premier’s in control of the board. The bass, filtered down to a soothing hum, he features Fat Joe, Nore and to round off the trio Ju-Ju of the Beatnuts. They call it “Capicu” yes it’s the official street heater.

Something obscure caught my attention going thru the stash, a Bronx indie label, Three Deep Records Inc. drops a double sided joint from a group called Third Klann. The a-side rightly titled “Still Here” features Old-Schooler Kurtis Blow. the b-side “Testament” gets my nod for being official. The production quality compares to that out of the Mobb-Deep vault, and the rappers hold down the lyrics. Majors should be interested in these kats, 1st-Born, Jewelz, Galione, Solomon, Romello and Lue Paradise just on their individual talents alone. Lastly out of the thorough borough, of Brooklyn comes Tah Phrum Duh Bush, an artist previously featured with a group called Mic-Control. He has now stepped out on his own, with a double sided effort, again. The b-side’s got it, with “Middle Finga“. Radio edits and all for those that are interested get at Push In The Bush Records at 718-826-2240, e-mail pushinthebushrec@aol.com or check the web www.filthyclean.com. So in closing as always U.W.A.G. and Rhythm delivers, enjoy.
