Since 1999 when Ja smashed on to the Hip Hop scene as a featured artist on Jay-Z’s“Can I Get A”, the Queens New York native has been consistently putting out sing along hits. With a new breath of life and a fiery old fued with G-Unit, Ja is prepared to take on the world once again and as his newest testament he gives us R.U.L.E. which in my opinion is his best work since Rule 3:36 but this is not a review it’s a feature on probably the most hated and loved MC in Hip Hop.
When the word came to me about doing an interview with Ja my first thought was… hell yeah. That’s my Queens Nigga to the heart. Hollis is in the house and we gotta hold each other down no matter what the situation. Now the last time I ran into Ja it was at an Avirex fashion show in New York a few years ago. He was hot on the boards with the 3:36 album and his dreams had finally been realizesd. We talked for a quick minute in the parking lot before Ja sped off in creamy grey 600 Benz wit a plastic cup of cognac in his lap. We were supposed to set up an interview which never materialized so, when would be a better time to finally do the interview than now? Reason being ; Ja is back and sounding better than ever before. Queens is definitely in the building so ya’ll better stand up.
Well I didnt waste time grinding out the questions at Ja and his retaliation on every one was quick, swift, straight foward and honest. With the release of his latest smash hit “New York” I asked Ja how important it was to him to rep his hood and does he get the love in return?
“I love my hood man no matter what goes down my real hood niggas have always showed me love and they still do. As long as the real hood is ridin with me I’m good.”

So why is it that a second beef with G-Unit’s second in command Lloyd Banks has seemingly erupted? Well here’s the lowdown. After the last issue of Floss magazine and the interview with Lloyd Banks which Ja had not seen or read, Ja asked me to tell him what Lloyd said and I procededed to enlighten him to the words that Lloyd had to say and Ja’s response was…
“I aint even thinking about Lloyd Banks he’s a low nigga on the totem pole and he can’t touch me. How is a homo nigga gonna fuck with me!?! I know you heard about the Gay porno movie on the internet with Lloyd in it right?”
Though HipHopDX did a news peace a minute back on the alledged Lloyd Banks gay pron…I played diplomatic and my response was, “Nah man maybe I’m slippin but I haven’t heard about that.” Ja’s response,
“Whatt!!! You ain’t seen the video with Lloyd fuckin another dude? I even read somewhere that he tried to deny the whole thing and say that it was some type of look alike, but I aint even worried about that nigga he aint nothing to me but damn they swept that shit under the rug quick.”

So there you have what may be the truth from the horses mouth. Now I’m not the type of journalist who likes to throw gasoline on a blazing fire but I do like to get the truth, or at least the other side of the story because that’s what I do.
When asked about his fashion sense since he was one of the first to wear Burberry in a video Ja says…
“Me and Irv (Gotti) got the clothing line out now called EJ and honestly we jacked a lot from Ivisu. EJ has a lot of similarities to that line because I like their shit but that’s mostly what you’ll see me wearing now, my shit.
So what else is in the cards for Ja as an entrepreneur?

“I also got my liquor called Mojito out now and an online casino at www.ruleecasino.com and a new movie due out on January 21, called Precinct 13 with Lawrence Fishburne and Ethan Hawke.”
It seems like Rule is still doing big things but what’s up with his family the CMC (Cash Money Click)?
We are having a lot of legal problems now but those is my niggas and we gonna try to put a project together in the future, I’m gonna try to make that happen but right now I want people to focus on me and this R.U.L.E album because I feel like I been through a lot in the past few years and I answer a lotta questions on this album like beef questions, am I still married and a lot more. I just want the people to get something from my music.”
So at the end of the day how does the Infamous Notorious Ghetto Gospelist R.u.l.e. want to be remembered?

“I just wanna be remembered as a real nigga…it’s that simple.”
