Music Matters Live 2022 is back!
The annual event is part of the six-night All That Matters, a “conference and connections hub for Asia’s entertainment, sports and music industry,” which kicked off last September 23 and concludes this Wednesday, September 28. This year, 38 rising artists from 12 countries came together in different stages set in Singapore, including the Clarke Quay Fountain Stage, SCAPE The Ground Theatre, and Capitol Theatre. This is the first on-site edition of Music Matters Live since COVID-19 hit the country in 2020.
Among the different events is the Zendyll x Music Matters Live Presents: Majulah Specials: Made In S.E.A, which features 11 acts from Southeast Asian countries.
The show is composed of Southeast Asian acts across different genres such as hip hop, R&B, folk-pop, and more. Veteran Singaporean rapper Akeem Jahat joins fellow rappers, AE$OP CASH, described as one of Singapore’s “most polarizing figures” in local hip hop, Malaysia’s Lil J, and Canada-born singer-songwriter Feez. Other performers at the event are RRILEY (SG), Krysta Joy (SG), lewloh (SG), Mikha Angelo (ID), and Hondo (ID), with special appearances from Aisyah Aziz (SG) and Wani Kayrie (MY).
