Japan’s SIMON JAP and 般若 kick it old-school in the dj honda-produced, “Golden Age”. The track premiered on August 30 with a music video highlighting the diversity of Japan’s hip hop culture– complete with a roster of b-boys and b-girls, karaoke, and skaters.

The production is quintessential dj honda, who is known for his masterful use of classic hip hop instrumentals and samples. This is shown in the track, where he seemingly borrows “Rapper’s Delight” by Sugarhill Gang for the intro.

“Golden Age” is the titular track of dj honda and SIMON JAP’s latest album. The 12-track record also hosts a number of features, including Rudebwoy Face, Chouji, Grace, D.O., and more. It was released yesterday (August 31) and has since then received positive feedback from fans.
