Filipina rapper SHNTI gets candid about a failed romance in her latest single, “Fuck It (I’m In Love Again),” which premiered today, February 22.
“It’s actually written for a special someone kaso (but), it didn’t really end well. And then, nung sinulat ko s’ya (when I wrote it), my intention was actually to send it to that someone and confess. I wouldn’t have it any other way,” she confessed in a video statement about the song. On an Instagram post upon the release, she shared that a music video will be out soon.
She went on, “Being in love is such a beautiful thing and such an underrated superpower.” In a separate clip, SHNTI promises that we’re entering a “new era,” referring to her music. Last year, she re-released her 2019 SoundCloud hit, “Goodie Goodie.” The Filipina rapper has yet to release a full-length record.
The new single is her latest offering since last month’s dewy-eyed downtempo track, “Tabi ka sakin” (Get Next To Me). It was mixed and mastered by LIAB Studios labelmate, Filipino rapper-producer Calix.
