Mongolian rappers join forces to raise funds for one of Mongolia’s leading hip hop artists, Lil Thug E, who was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia (AML) last month.

Friends and loved ones are spearheading a series of fundraising efforts (including an online concert and a celebrity basketball tournament) to help supplement the medical funds of the 29-year-old rapper-producer and biologist, whose real name is Tuguldur Ganchimeg.

According to the GoFundMe page set up by a friend named Tuvshin Tsagaankhuu, Lil Thug E was endorsed to undergo a bone marrow transplant at the Istinye University Hospital of Turkey, with the total treatment fee estimated at US$100,000. As of writing, they have raised US$3,851.

On October 12, Lil Thug E’s friends, including fellow members of the Loichihson Crew, Ginjin and Fla, as well as Vandebo, GangBay, ThunderZ, Enerel, Tsetse, Desant, and Big Gee, shared the music video for “Big LIFE” to help raise awareness for the fundraiser and show their love and support for their beloved friend.
