Japanese hip hop star JP The Wavy unveils the visual for collaboration-of-the-year contender “WAVEBODY” remix, originally featuring OZworld and LEX, with the addition of ¥ellow Bucks.

The track is a standout cut from this year’s WAVY TAPE 2 deluxe edition. The Bankroll Got It’s production borrows from early 2000s Atlanta bass-heavy production, specifically crunk. The accompanying video was helmed by MESS and WAVY FRIENDS and shows the quartet wearing matching baseball jerseys and adorable kid counterparts (extra nostalgia kick: the video is also somewhat reminiscent of Destiny Child’s “Bootylicious” remix featuring Missy Elliott, concept-wise).

“WAVEBODY” remix is the latest single off JP The Wavy’s deluxe release following “Pick N Choose” featuring LEX.

Earlier this year, JP The Wavy linked up with Thai rapper Twopee Southside for their cross-country joint track, “LIT.”

He also dropped “Bushido” with Good Gas, their contribution to F9: The Fast Saga, which gave a nod to Teriyaki Boyz, the first Japanese music act to appear in the Fast & Furious OST in 2003.
