Mighty Warriors are back.
The hip hop group and actors from the popular Japanese action media franchise, HiGH&LOW, shared their first single in four years titled “Warriors Anthem.”
Released on August 6 via LDH Records, they also unveiled two new members, Exile Shokichi as ARK and AK-69 as GLOCK. They will be joining current Mighty Warriors members, BERNIE (Alan Shirahama), LIU (Taichi Saotome), PEARL (SWAY), ICE (Elly/CrazyBoy), DIDDY (Likiya), PHO (Mandy Sekiguchi), and JESSE (Exile Naoto).
HiGH&LOW depicts an action-packed universe of gang rivalries, broken loyalties, criminal conspiracies, and capitalist greed. The films turn real-life J-pop stars into charming, gang-affiliated characters skilled in the martial arts. HiGH&LOW is known for its cinematography, stunts, and twisting narratives where characters often cross warring paths.

In the music video for “Warriors Anthem,” Liu (Taichi Saotome) narrates, “There are no rules that say we got to stay together. If you want to leave, we will send you off. If you want to return, we will welcome you back. If we can be together in the end, then we are free.”
The Mighty Warriors team is driven by their love for music and fashion. Based out of their nightclub “FUNK JUNGLE,” the team members work toward a shared goal of building their utopia where they fight using the music they know. In “Warriors Anthem” the gang members chant, “Mighty Mighty, can’t stop won’t stop” and “Fire now, fire now, warriors.”
Some fans speculated—and requested—“Warriors Anthem” could be a teaser for a new film or a series spin-off. One commented on the music video, “Hope this leads to a new series or movie.????.” Another quipped, “They didn’t just do this ? Mighty Warriors once again dropped a dope af track ? is this a hint for a new movie??! The song is so good like WTF and I’m still not over their other tracks ?.”
