Malaysian producer and 16 Baris resident DJ CZA marks his return with latest drill anthem, “VETO,” via Def Jam Malaysia, featuring top local hip hop stars TUJULOCA and MK of K-Clique.

The track is sonically inspired by the late Pop Smoke’s massive hit, the bass-thumping “Dior.” DJ CZA also incorporates Brooklyn drill into “VETO”  to underline its powerful motivations. “It’s basically about making something out of nothing by having a positive mentality and never looking back,” he says about the track. LOCA B and K-Clique’s MK and TUJU lend their vocals to complete the track’s anthemic punch.

“VETO” also tells the story of each artist’s path to success. Asked about what the song means to them, they all agree on one thing: “power.”

The music video was directed by Shahrin Bahar, who was also behind the lens in Joe Flizzow’s “CIAO” (ft. MK and Jay Park), and features a 360-degree LED fixture that comes with a seizure warning for viewers. It was also executive produced and creative directed by 33.3 Studio, also the same creative agency behind “CIAO.”
