Nearly one year ago, Eminem pulled off a surprise album drop nobody — nobody — saw coming. Like a missile straight from the sky,Kamikaze arrived on August 31, 2018 and took aim at Shady’s detractors, obliterating everything in its path.

On Wednesday (August 28), a tweet from Marshall Mather’s Twitter account got the rumor mill churning once again, leading many to wonder: Is there a Lord Jamar diss coming? Or is this an entirely new Eminem album?

With 2017’s Revival, subtle hints started popping up on social media prior to its release.

In October 2017, Paul Rosenberg shared a photo of Yelawolf’s Trial By Fire album to Instagram. Upon closer investigation, a giant billboard on the side of a building was promoting a new drug called “Revival.” However the “E” was backwards, which is Em’s logo.

From there, Shady’s team went as far as creating a fake hotline that plugged the drug. Revival arrived less than two months later.

There are a few reasons to believe it could be that time again. Here are 5 indicators another Eminem album is possibly on its way.

The cryptic message arrived precisely at 2:00 PM (or 3:00 PM CST, 4:00 PM EST, depending on what time zone you’re in), a clue Shady’s team scheduled the tweet and it’s something that’s been planned.

M&Ms In The Background Of Skyler Grey’s Instagram Post

On the same day Em’s tweet arrived, Revival collaborator Skyler Grey shared an Instagram photo of herself sitting in the studio. In the caption, she revealed she was “back in the lab with Em.” The M&Ms candy logo appears in the background.

Although she says “swipe right to see his face,” the second photo only shows a close up of an M&M character.

One user joked Eminem is dropping, “Kamikaze 2, the album where he replies to everybody who didn’t like the album that he made replying to everybody that didn’t like the previous album.”

There are also a few hopeful fans dreaming about another Bad Meets Evil project, Em’s collaborative group with Royce Da 5’9.

Whatever the case, Em evidently always knows how to get people talking. Now it’s just a waiting game.
