50 Cent is a master strategist. He seems to fuel on confusing his opponents by spinning them into a frenzy. He’s always throwing shots out there at someone or something, and this small tit-for-tat with Puffy is no different. Of course, there’s context to this situation as these two moguls who seem to respect each other deeply have been publicly ribbing each other for a while now.

Some say it started last year when 50 called Puff Daddy a sucker in a GQ interview. But there have been rumors of the two not getting along since at least 2012 when the jokes went too far and the two almost squared off backstage at the BET Hip Hop awards.

Allegedly, Puffy had a problem with a UCLA Bruins coach who lambasted his son for this, that, or the other thing. As the story goes, he went back the next day to confront the coach in which a shoving match took place and kettlebells somehow got involved. First, shout out to the coach who clearly valued his pride over his common sense for getting into it with the mega-mogul.

And, secondly, 50 pulled no punches on Instagram in giving the recap. He took down the original post, but here’s what he said, “Yeah, man. They say Puffy went Ciroc Coco on the coach with a kettlebell. All this shit started since Drake, man. He be wanting to fuck everybody up. Yeah, man. I’m counting the bail money right now, so I can get him.”

50 Cent Calls Puff Daddy A “Sucker” & Referred To “Big Homie” As Garbage

On a madcap GQ excursion where 50 was to be a life coach to a GQ writer, 50 Cent called Puffy a “sucker” over, well, nothing. The GQ writer, Zach Baron, was so taken aback that he actually asked Fif’ if he meant it. Check the staunch reply, “You think I celebrate that kind of thing?” The writer pulled his pants up and replied, “Kind of, yeah.” 50 grew cold, Zach said, and replied, “It’s not to pick fights. You know what it is?” In a brief moment, he pulled back the veil and revealed that he wasn’t sure of absolute everything, and that all humans are flawed.

About a month earlier, though, he literally called Puff’s “Big Homie” track “garbage.” This one happened on Baltimore’s 92Q. “Puff’s still out there. He don’t even need a record. Cause he don’t got one. Like you know Puffy ain’t got no music that you wanna hear. That ‘Big Homie’ shit is garbage. I’mma keep it all the way real with you. Because the guy says ‘Don’t worry about if I write my rhymes, I write checks.’ And then sings to you.”

50 Insinuates That Puffy Is Gay

2014 might have been the year of 50 Cent taking shots at Puff. Here, after posting a shirtless Instagram post after what appears to be a boxing workout, a heckler says 50 should get at French Montana. The reply is priceless, “What the fuck you just say nothing nigga. I ain’t with all that crazy shit what the fuck you think I’m puffy.” 50 Cent will turn-up on just about anyone.

50 Posts This Picture Promoting Effen Vodka

The vodka wars are ongoing, but this was one of the first shots heard round the world. As today is an example, the Effen versus Ciroc brush fire isn’t going to end anytime soon. For us, it probably means hilarious Instagrams. For Puffy, maybe a joke or five at his expense. But what’s wrong with this? As Andre 3000 says, “Thick girls are made for cuddling,” right?

Did Puffy copy 50 Cent’s idea for his racy “3AM” fragrance ad with perpetual bae Cassie? According to 50 the answer is, well, yes. Whether or not that’s actually true, however, remains to be seen. It could have been just a coincidence, right? Not to 50, he used the opportunity to bathe his previous effort in another light. Genius, huh?

50 Launches A Petition Asking Puffy To “Let B.I.G. Rest In Peace”

Back in 2010 on Shade 45, 50 Cent had this to say about Puff Daddy, “Puffy is a bitch … You know how an ugly bitch surrounds herself with pretty girls? Well, he is the pretty bitch with the other girls around him. He will suck the life out of everyone he is around.” He then went on to say, “Biggie’s name should never have become Diddy’s Black Card … When was the last time Diddy really was biggin up his brother, not biggin up his bank?” The whole shake up was over Jay Electronica’s “Ghost Of Christopher Wallace.” He started a Twitter petition and everything, though, to this day, the petition is at around two thousand signatures.
